Spring Garden

Spring is a beautiful time here at Wooly Thyme Cottage. I ❤️ love iris and have started collecting as many different varieties as my budget will allow! So whenever anyone says they are dividing iris and does anyone want some, it is always a YES from me! I also ❤️ love peonies. Four of my peony bushes came from my childhood home and are over 50 years old. We have had an abundance of rain 🌧️ this spring, and my peonies are loving every little drop. They are huge and smell much like what I think heaven must smell like ~ all the best flower smells ever!

I also have a couple clematis plants. One was a Mother’s Day gift and the other I rescued from the clearance section at Lowe’s. 💜

It has been a very rainy day but I did slog out to the cottage garden to pick a couple strawberries 🍓. They are tiny as we need to overhaul the berry patch. Even though they are teeny, they get a quick wash and get eaten fairly quickly along with a couple bites of a milk chocolate bar.

Tomorrow’s plan…
Start the summer stitch along with Melisa at Pinkernpunkinquilting.blogspot.com. I would like to make little stamp pillows to put in a dough bowl on my antique Hoosier cabinet! She also has the cutest patriotic stitches. Love to stitch a basketful of those too! As always, too many projects, but I love when inspiration propels me outta my comfy chair and into my craft stash where I happily pick out colors and begin to create. Of course, a hot cup of coffee by my side just is the 🍒 on top!

Welcome!

Hello blog world! I’m Jill. It has certainly been a hot minute since I have blogged. Years and years ago - I was a blogger. I would say it’s been about 18 years. Those were great blogging years. We could add music, falling snowflakes and precious graphics.  There were not any ads that covered the entire page and people weren’t always trying to sell you something. A few years ago, I stumbled across an adorable blog called Pinkernpunkinquilting. Melisa offers free cross stitch, embroidery, and quilting patterns. She is such an inspiration and it is incredibly kind of her to offer so many patterns for free. She is such a talented lady. After reading her blog for the past several years, I decided that I too would like to share my world through a little blog.

So here we are…new blog beginnings! I love to do way too many hobbies, have way too many WIPS and keep adding new ones. Here’s my plan - I would like to post once a week sharing my weekly plans, progress on my numerous undertakings, and sharing all other manner of mischief I find myself in. If that sounds like something you would be interested in…follow along!
